Celebrating 20 Years of Magic at Hong Kong Disneyland
As families prepare for magical moments at Hong Kong Disneyland this summer, the park is set to unveil new name tags for its cast members, ushering in the celebration of its 20th anniversary. This milestone not only honors the journey of the park itself but also the dedicated cast members who bring the Disney magic to life.
A Legacy of Name Tags: A Trip Down Memory Lane
Name tags at Disney parks are more than just identification; they symbolize pride, history, and the personal touch each cast member brings. Since its opening day, Hong Kong Disneyland’s name tags have commemorated significant anniversaries and captured the essence of moments shared with guests. The inaugural name tag in 2005 was a testament to the excitement of a new park, marking the beginning of a legacy.
Each Anniversary, a New Story
Over the years, each anniversary at Hong Kong Disneyland brought name tags that reflect the celebrations:
- 5 Years: Celebration in the Air - This name tag featured pixie dust and symbolized the excitement of a new era, enhanced by the debut of the “Flights of Fantasy Parade.”
- 10 Years: Happily Ever After - With a golden theme, the name tag highlighted Tinker Bell and celebrated the enduring spirit of the park.
- 15 Years: 15 Years of Magical Dreams - Featuring beloved park icons, this name tag celebrated the enchantment brought by attractions and experiences that guests cherish.
It’s amazing to see how each version of the name tag not only signifies a year of existence but highlights the evolving experiences offered at the park.
What’s New at the 20-Year Celebration?
The upcoming name tag will showcase vibrant colors and enchanting confetti, embodying the role of each cast member as they gear up to host “The Most Magical Party of All.” Launching on June 28, these name tags will unite cast members in a festive spirit, aligning with the park's mission to create unforgettable memories for families.

At the heart of every Disney experience are the cast members. With their warm smiles and enthusiastic spirit, they are the reason visitors return year after year.
