These efforts aim to recover the lost patronage and renew the marina’s standing as a leader in luxury yacht services.
Pitfalls of Delay
However, being a vital component of the seaplane project launching from Bolgatty, the timeline for the renovation raises concerns. While the project was scheduled for a three-month completion mark, more than three months have passed without any advancement beyond the tendering process. This raises questions regarding the execution of critical tourism infrastructure, particularly given the potential benefits a spruced-up marina could confer on the local economy.
The Role of Dredging and Maintenance
Acknowledging the decline of marina usage over recent years, KTDC officials cite the necessity of preventive maintenance and dredging as crucial for attracting yachts once more.
